Dances with Robots, Season 1: From an Idea to an Ongoing Podcast
Podcast Development + Production
Dances with Robots is a podcast presented by the Conference for Research on Choreographic Interfaces (CRCI), exploring the corporeal risks and expressive opportunities of contemporary technologies.
Season 1 is hosted by Sydney Skybetter, choreographer and Director at Brown University, and brings together artists, activists, and technologists navigating the world through interdisciplinary practice.
Originally conceived as a community-building alternative during the COVID-19 pandemic, it has grown into an ongoing platform with an engaged, niche audience and a place in university curriculum.

Dances with Robots began as an idea and became a multi-season podcast with foundation funding, university curriculum placement, and a loyal community of listeners at the intersection of dance and technology. It’s the proof of concept that shaped how Consciously Produced approaches podcast work: with deep investment in the subject matter, the community it serves, and the long-term life of the project.
Season 2 is fully produced by Consciously Produced, and CP is contracted for Season 3.
